João has over 11 years of experience in acquisition-led growth, integration, and performance improvement.

He is responsible for deal origination, due diligence and transaction execution.

Prior to joining Syntagma, João was the Director for Corporate Development, M&A and Integration at Qintess (formerly Grupo Cimcorp), a leading IT infrastructure and digitalization services provider.
During his tenure at Qintess, João gained extensive experience with complex transactions and business integration as he executed on a growth driven strategy which led the company to grow from $12 million to c. $600 million in revenues in the span of 5 years. Prior to Qintess, João was a Principal in the M&A advisory team at State Capital, a US investment banking group, where he advised clients in cross-border M&A and capital raising transactions.

João holds an MBA from London Business School with concentrations in Private Equity and Change Management and a BBA from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
