Brussels, September 5th, 2024 – Syntagma Capital a private equity firm focused on corporate carve-outsand other complex situations in the middle market, announced that Jean-Baptiste Thybaut has joined the firm.

Jean-Baptiste joins the firm as Principal, Operations. In this role, he will support the operations and portfolio management of the firm’s investments working alongside the Partners and the portfolio companies’ senior leadership. Jean-Baptiste will also support the identification of value creation opportunities and design of carve-outs for new investments.

Prior to joining Syntagma, Jean-Baptiste was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company where he was part of the Transformation Practice. During his 7 years there, he led 10 major transformation programs either as a Chief Transformation Officer (“CTO”) or as a CTO-coach for mid-Caps clients in the manufacturing and consumer sectors setting-up, driving and implementing complex EBITDA improvement programs including their change management and capability building aspects.

Before his time at McKinsey, Jean-Baptiste worked 15 years in the Glass and Cement industry in France, Spain, UAE, India and Russia with responsibilities in both Manufacturing and Supply-Chain.
